We like the offshore bracket, swim ladder, and stern door.  These features allowed us to save the lives of five folks who capsized their boat on the Columbia River Bar last June.  We used these features to bring them on board.  The boat handled well given that we had nine folks on the boat in rough water.  She is definitely a keeper!

Everyone who steps foot on my boat says that it is the nicest fishing boat they have ever seen and I would have to agree.

This will sound like a broken record, but strength of design and construction are what I enjoy most about this boat. My 1978 22' Duckworth is 34 years old with plenty of beauty/character marks on her and I still get complements on the dock. There is nowhere I wouldn't feel safe and secure on the water, including the Columbia in 60+ mph winds with 6-7' swells. Been there done that. The 19' Hewescraft that started toward the launch from three miles out with me, arrived much later and way worse for the wear. She, ‘Happy Hour’ will be with me for life. The next owner will be buying a 60+ year old boat, still ready for more service. Just feed her a new engine if hers wears out- I don't think it will though.

Update: She got an over skin in last 5' of bottom and 12"up transom due to battery acid damage that was discovered last season. I had them use 3/16" aluminum so the majority of back area is now 3/8" thick doubled up. I could probably go stump jumping now if I was so inclined...lol.

Ride, safety, comfort and piece of mind.

The comfort and feeling of security is outstanding. I have had the boat one year now and have 2000 miles on her, 1600 miles of that are at 3 mph while trolling. Without my Offshore 24, I would not have caught half the fish I have, as it would have been too rough. I fish a lot by myself so having autopilot, and the best boat for rough water of its size on the market allows me to fish the worst conditions solo with confidence. Fishing in the rough has allowed me to catch three trophy Rainbows in the last year.

I love how a Duckworth looks on the water, and the performance is unprecedented among other boats that I have owned. I always dreamed of owning a Duckworth and the Advantage series made that possible for me.
